Astonishingly great information site:
"Your source for the latest in sustainable agriculture and organic farming news, publications, events and funding opportunities."
And it's true. They've been defunded as part of 2007 USDA appropriations -- more info on their site and newsletters about that -- but it means they've cut back on essential services.
  If there's any agricultural government resource more appropriate to the current recognition of climate change, peak oil, and the need for a shift in behavioral practices, I can't think of it. And they're defunding it?!
